Rabat is architecturaly beautiful and full of history , it is nestled on the Atlantic coast and is the capital city of Morocco filled with freindly people and an endless warren of markets,shops and places to explore
The first thing you see as you enter the town center is the stunning Kasbah of the Udayas
after a wandering around the towers and bastions of Kashbah head back down the hill to the entrance of the Rabat old market and the Souk Sebat Rabat to find a feast for the senses
its such a beautiful and warm place that invites you to wander freely through the vast warren of alleyways and covered market streets , it was so nice to visit and not get hassled or bothered at all,only freindly greetings and smiles await you in the souk
its not just the street art and atisan goods that captures you as you walk its the food also!!
Exiting the Souk on the far side at Avenue Hassan II and you can hang a right walk down towards the coast to check out the museum of photography that houses a huge collection of contemporary and historical photographs
Check out some pretty weird but cool street art across the road too
The coastline on this side of Rabat next to the museum is very rugged and you can see some tremendous waves coming in
All around Rabat there is sublime architecture and random but inpiring art
Slightly further back from the coast the city opens up in to gorgeous palm tree lined boulevards with Art Deco buildings dotted all throughout the centre
Before you leave Rabat make sure to check out Hassan Tower and surrounding gardens overlooking the water
